What does “as is” mean?  It simply means at the listing price the owner will not make repairs to the property.  You are welcome to order inspections, and in fact we recommend that you do so when purchasing any property – “as is” or otherwise – to protect your investment.  Should inspections on your “as is” property find repairs are required, you may decide to decline the purchase or to attempt renegotiation of the price based on those inspections.
