It was beautiful today, 82 degrees and sunny. Expecting very humid and hot weather today but at the pool it was just the most beautiful day. Not much going on. I did talk to several about Mother's Day and where I wanted to go. The Captain said he would take me anywhere I wanted to go and I remember Jan and Beverly talking about "Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty" in Vero. So, once again I asked Bev to give me the directions, she is so good at that, and came home and told the Captain that's where I wanted to go. I called to make reservations but was told only for parties of 5 of more and that right now they are very slow because all the snowbirds have gone home so any time of the day is good! I'll let you all know how I make out, I am excited about trying this as so many of you had good things to say about it. I was told NOT to miss the PARK.... That's it for today...

5/04/03 I got there around 9:15 this morning, the pool temperature was 84, sunny and just a beautiful day. Just one of those days that I didn't want to leave. Good company as usual. Everyone is just so friendly and people feel good when the arrive and leave. It makes for such a pleasant time. I didn't leave until 11 am and really could have stayed all day if the sun was not out LOL LOL....Not suppose to be in the sun, that's why I enjoy the early morning or evening hours. Jan brought pictures today for the NEW BRAG PAGE...hope you all send me some things you want to brag about! Maybe just a kindness someone has done for you, it will be a way to show appreciation. I should have gotten a picture of Michael, I just met him today I believe he was Louise's husband. I will just have to catch him the next time around. That's it for today...

Michael was here with his wife Louise, who is just a little camera shy, and tells me they are married 40 years! They still look like newlyweds :). Louise was in the pool when this shot was taken. Nice couple if you don't know them, introduce yourself they are easy to talk to. (5-06-03) |
Got there about 9:15 am this morning and there were a lot of swimmers! By 10:30 there was only a handful left swimming. Many of us just don't like the hot sun, the early morning sun is not as damaging to the skin. I have to go tomorrow morning to have a cancer spot taken off my nose so I have been worried about the sun. Just ONE of the reasons I like to get there early. Anyway, great conversations today with most everyone. Such wonderful, friendly and easy to be with people. Starts my day off great. Above are some shots from today. That's it for today...
