 Gloria's Tree (5-17-03)
| Plaque in front of Gloria's tree. (5-17-03) | This is outside the gate to pool two. The tree was placed in Honor of Gloria Amy Miano Humeston. This site is been done really in her honor as well. Pool Side page one talks about Gloria who was not only my friend but a friend to many others. She took pride in pool two and had many things done to make it what it is today. (5-17-03) |
(5-17-03) | Tom, who is another regular at pool two rides his bike to the pool. Here he is waiting for the pool to re-open after thunder was heard! Tom is Pam's husband for those of you who know Pam. She is pictured on page 6. (5-17-03) | (5-17-03) |
Well, I couldn't get to the pool until just after 6 pm and when I arrived Elaine was sitting in her car because she had to close the pool due to thunder! I stayed and waited until she could re-open which was just about 6:30. I did stay until closing and it was beautiful. Several people were there earlier and left when the thunder came only Gordon came back. It is that time of year so I had been expecting it! That's it for today... Bye for now... (5-18-03) | Barbara, we all call her Barbara Bush! Doesn't she look like her? I haven't seen Barbara since last year evening hours. I was great to see her again. Keep her in your prayers she is going to have knee replacement surgery soon. | (5-18-03) |
(5-18-03) | Here is a special lady. Betty D. I add the D because we have so many Betty's. I don't use last names but an initial works so my files don't get mixed up! Betty was so kind to me when our pool two was re-done. We went over to pool three while it was closed up and she used to wait for me to arrive to help me walk in because pool three is a lot farther from the parking lot and I didn't have my wheelchair back then. I will never forget her kindness. | (5-18-03) |
Meet Brigetta who is visiting us from Austria! What a pleasant girl, she is only here for 10 days so if you get the chance introduce yourself and let her know just how friendly us Americans are! (5-18-03) | | Brigetta is visiting friends here in the Bay for 10 days. Hope we have lots of sunshine for her and no thunder to close the pools. (5-18-03) |
Another couple I just met tonight! Charlotte and Joe originally from Orlando. Just moved to the Bay 2 1/2 months ago. Be sure to welcome them. (5-18-03) | | Such a pleasant couple, they will just love it here I'm sure. They fit in nicely with there friendly nature and attitude. Introduce yourself when you see them.(5-18-03) |
Now, here was a surprise! Haven't seen Joan in a long time and guess what? She's my neighbor! I was so happy to see her here with her daughter and granddaughter picture here as well. (5-18-03) | This is Joan's granddaughter Leia. She is visiting her Aunt and Grandmother from Sebastian. Looks like she just loves the water. (5-18-03) | Joan pictured again, I didn't like the water cooler behind her so had to put something more peaceful. (5-18-03) |

(5-18-03) | Nancy, enjoying watching her niece swim and getting some sun. This is Joan's (pictured above) daughter. Love the palm tree behind her! Nancy is very bubbly and friendly so if you haven't met her or her mother introduce yourself. | (5-18-03) |
I was very happy to see Letha and her husband again this year. I met her last year but just couldn't bring up her name. So, swam over to her and asked once again! (5-18-03) | She told me LEE and it just didn't sound right. She must have seen my puzzled look and then said Letha LOL LOL. I knew it was a different name and Lee just didn't sound right!.(5-18-03) | Letha is pictured with her husband Richard and they love the pool. Very pleasant to be around and once again if you don't know them introduce yourself. (5-18-03) |
Well, I didn't do to good here! I'll have to catch Phyllis awake next time. LOL LOL. I usually take two or more pictures to be sure I get a good one! (5-18-03) | | I forget that some of you may not know some of the computer language I use! I case you don't know what LOL is, it means Laughing Out Loud. I will try to remember to give the meaning of my slang. (5-18-03) |
Well folks, it was a busy night at pool two! Many people that I haven't seen since last year so it felt great to see them all again. New faces too and I am always happy to meet new people. Many others there besides what shown above. I try to get pictures that I don't already have up. No thunder tonight and I stayed until almost closing. By 7 pm I was alone in the pool, not sure if I drove everyone away with my chatter or it was just that they all left early.....Pool temperature was 86 and soothing to the joints. That's it for today... Bye for now... Donna pool 2 5/18/03 |
