| 7-31-03 Finally got to the pool tonight! The weather has not really been bad, we need rain but the thunder, you can hear it in Kissimmee so we can't swim. I also was just busy around the house, we painted our driveway so that keep me too busy to swim! I was worth it, the driveway looks good, we painted it a nice HUNTER GREEN! Gordon says, "Its different" ! The water at the pool is very HOT....90 degrees and feel like bath water. I like warm water in the winter but when it's 90 degrees outside, 90 degree water does NOT feel good. It still is nice to get the exercise so we just have to wait for some rain to come to cool it off. I know, many of you are almost drowning in the rain and would love to be here in the dry heat, we wish all your rain to go away for awhile so send it here. (Grin). The latest pools new is that pool three will be closing down on Aug 4th for maintenance so many of the swimmer will be coming to pool two. In order to accommodate everyone our Community Manager has change the hours that the pool two will be open. The NEW hours are: 8 am - 7:45 pm and the exercise people can come twice a week, Tues. & Thurs. from 8am-9am for their classes. This should work out very well for EVERYONE and seems like a FAIR way to handle the closing of one of our pools. After pool three opens up then pool two will be closed for a week for maintenance and we will go to pool three for our swims. I believe the same hours will apply, I will double check on that as I am not positive about it. No pictures but I have met some new people. Barbara and her husband Frank were a really nice couple and I am sorry I didn't get their pictures. The night I was there and had my camera I had forgotten to put a disc in my camera case so I wasn't able to take their picture and now they have gone home. Will just have to get them when the return. Last night I met two very pleasant French ladies, Denise and Janine (not sure if I spelled it right). Anyway, they live here year round and the next time I see them I will get their picture. I was a very pleasant night and I had been swimming for about 1 hour when Denise and I both heard thunder and you don't have to tell me twice about thunder...I'm GONE....I ride my wheelchair home and don't like to get caught in a thunder and lightning storm so I try to head out quick. |
